- Rubrik backup
- Dell SRM (storage reporting manager)
- Cloud Object Storage
Knowledge in Data Backup, Archival & Disaster Recovery
Strong understanding of Windows Server environment
Strong Understanding of virtualization on VMWare
Firmware upgrades and OS/ Security patch update for network switches and storage appliance
Handling/ Setting/Configuring Storage & Backup devices
Good Understanding of AZURE/Cloud Technolgies.
Good hands-on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of Storage and backup environments.
Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
Operational support with flexibility for 24x7 support

Activities:

Hands on Experience in Setting up a New Backup environment.
Experience Backup migration from existing to to new environments based on the customer needs.
Experience on configuring Database Backups & restorations.
Configuring Backups from on-prem to cloud object storage
Restore and back up operation unaided for unscheduled / ado requests Backup and restore using native back up commands.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Training/certification is a plus.
VMware/Hyper-V and Windows/Linux Server basic admin knowledge would be added advantage
Participate & run recovery drills once every quarter and restore it back to the production site which will include building backup server and restoring data.
Report any hardware issues on the datadomain, firewall, switch within the vault to Dell support and coordinate any support/hardware issues.
Run capacity planning report to understand the growth and make sure additional hardware is requested on time.
Provide suggestions to increase security by bringing in additional software/hardware
