Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Science, Non-Tenure Track

Primary Purpose and Essential Functions:
A strong background in pharmaceutical sciences in formulation, dosage form design, and manufacturing in drug development is required. The person appointed will teach pharmaceutical sciences courses in curricula of BS in Pharmaceuticals Sciences, MS, PhD in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences, and Pharm.D.. Additional service on departmental, school, and university committees will be expected. A PhD. in the field is required and 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Experience in industrial research formulation and development is highly desired. Applicants must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Some experience with FDA guidelines and compliance is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
  • Strong background in formulation of different dosage forms and characterization of dosage forms in pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in research and/or scholarship and academia.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally diverse study body.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
