Talent Acquisition Specialist

EDGE Engineering and Science is seeking a talent acquisition Specialist to assist not only on sourcing and recruiting top talent across the entire organization but also play a critical role in supporting a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires.

Assisting the senior recruiter, you will be responsible for the sourcing and screening of candidates, assisting hiring managers with job postings, keeping the internal recruitment database updated, scheduling in person and virtual interviews, preparing offer letters, onboarding and running background checks on candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Working in partnership with hiring managers to write, edit and post clear and concise job adverts in order to attract the highest caliber of candidates to apply.
  • Shortlist and phone screen suitable candidates before reporting the results to the hiring managers.
  • Scheduling telephone, virtual and in-person interviews with candidates nationally.
  • Writing, editing and issuing offer letters and onboarding documentation to candidates and ensuring their timely return.
  • Work with the hiring manager, office manager, senior recruiter, outsourced HR team and divisional directors to initiate and coordinate the onboarding process whilst acting as a point of contact for all stakeholders.
  • Conduct background checks when authorized to do so by leadership and send completed reports back to hiring managers and other team members as requested.
  • Update and maintain our inhouse ATS (applicant tracking system) with accurate information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field or in lieu of a degree relevant work experience.
  • Ideally 2 -3 years' experience within a talent acquisition, recruiter or recruitment coordinator role.
  • Ability to manage multiple open roles at any given time which will be at different stages
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders updated on the recruitment process.
  • Previous experience with an ATS system - experience with Greenhouse advantageous
  • Experience with LinkedIn recruiter also advantageous.
