POSITION PURPOSE:
The responsibility for this position is to support HMC Providers, registered nurses, and medical assistants in a team based approach to support patient needs.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position processes medical records requests, processes referrals authorized by Providers, arranges travel for MCD patients, processes downloads for medical information, scans documents to be entered into patients charts and assists Providers in retrieving needed labs and patient information. This position reports to the Assistant Clinical Manager.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
This position requires the minimum of a high school diploma or a GED equivalent. Two to three years of experience in computerized patient records is preferred. The ability to maintain productivity through long periods working at a desk. Excellent keyboards skills are required. This position must present a professional appearance, deal courteously and respectfully with patients, staff, and providers. Must be able to perform work with attention to detail, be able to maintain accurate records, be able to maintain strict confidentiality, and be able to contribute to a pleasant, positive working environment.
