Sportsplex is looking to add personal trainers (part-time and full-time) to our current team of fitness professionals. The ideal candidate is independent, flexible, and a life-long learner ready to be innovative and creative in today’s fitness space. We are a team and a family; your success is our success. Our personal trainers work one-on-one and in small groups with clients of a variety of ages and abilities, from teens to older adults, providing safe, effective workouts to achieve goals.

Sportsplex is Orange County, New York's premier multi-sports health club, located in the heart of the Hudson Valley.  For over 25 years, we have been a state-of-the-art fitness facility that offers robust programming for all ages. Our personal trainers play an integral role in helping to achieve and fulfill our health and wellness vision and goals for our members.

What you will be doing:

• Developing & implementing comprehensive, individualized health & fitness programs for clients, which includes tracking progress and performing fitness evaluations.

• Leading and planning small group training sessions

• Collaborating with the team and other staff members.

• Developing personal clientele: promotion and marketing via special programs, word of mouth, complimentary sessions and floor hours.

• Instructing and supporting individuals, teaching safe and effective techniques in order to help members reach their path to fitness success.

• Being aware of & consistently adhering to daily operational concerns, such as proper cleanliness of the fitness center and being presentable at all times within professional standards. 

• Being proactive with the implementation of innovative ideas and new programming options. 

• Meeting all deadlines, keeping and following through on commitments.

• Assisting in online programs and education through social media channels

Essential Requirements:

• Current personal trainer certification (one of the following is required from a nationally recognized organization): NASM-CPT, ACE-CPT, NSCA-CPT, NFPT, ACSM

• Or equivalent education: Bachelors in Exercise Science

• 2 or more years experience in personal training

• Current adult CPR/AED certification

• Staying informed and knowledgeable of all new industry research, personal training techniques, certifications, and technical course requirements
