About Us:

Courtyard by Marriott - High Point is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in High Point, NC. This person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment in a commercial building.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers .
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping)
• Other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)

Requirements:

• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to follow instructions and recognize problems with equipment or its operation.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and outdoors.
• Must be able to travel when necessary to different locations.

Bonus Points:

• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Preferred)
