Lead Precision Toolmaker & Machining Team Lead (Medical Devices)

What you’ll own

• Set the quality tone: put patient safety and product quality first by following the Quality Policy and every documented process.
• Lead the machine shop: instruct, train, mentor, and guide Associates; coordinate priorities as the point-of-contact with the Supervisor.
• Restore and optimize injection mold tooling through welding, drilling, milling, surface grinding, EDM, and polishing.
• Build graphite electrodes for EDM burn strategies.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes; execute boring, grinding, milling, shaping, and related machining.
• Read and act on blueprints, process sheets, and sketches; lay out and machine parts to exact print requirements.
• Apply skilled handwork: drilling, tapping, grinding, filing, scraping, sanding, lapping, and honing.
• Create and condition cutting tools—select, sharpen, and form standard and special geometries.
• Keep the shop running: maintain and repair machine shop equipment.
• Partner with technical teams across disciplines to push projects over the finish line.
• Contribute wherever needed—other duties as assigned.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent with related certification and a minimum of ten (10) years of machining experience; OR completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship plus five (5) years of machining experience.
• Comfort with basic software tools (Microsoft Office).
• Core proficiencies: CNC Programming, Manual Machining, Tool/Die/Mold Repair.

Compensation

The annualized base salary range for this role is $29.56 - $37.69. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
