Essential Responsibilities-
1. Installation, maintenance, and repair of two-way radios, base installations, repeaters, mobiles, portables, licensed and unlicensed microwave links, dispatch consoles, battery back-up systems, and mobile installations.
2. Computer skills required with the ability to program, troubleshoot, and/or perform diagnostics on communication systems.
3. Trunked radio systems, P25, DMR (Moto TRBO), LTR, and IP-based communication systems and network components
4. Basic and Intermediate Level IP Networking/Troubleshooting
5. Sales Engineering Support
6. Program many types of radio systems to customer licensed requirements.
7. On-call on a rotating basis
8. Reports to the Service Manager or the Vice President of Service
9. Other duties as assigned
Training, Experience, and Education- High School Diploma, two-year degree in electronics preferred, and/or military RF/ electronics schooling and or experience in the two-way radio industry, FCC, ETA, R56, amateur radio license, COMPTIA, and other industry standard certifications are a plus.
MUST HAVE ETA CETa and/or COMPTIA Net + within 90 days of employment.
Other requirements- Valid Driver’s license with a good record, Clean background check, Travel may be required for field service work.
