Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Custom Applicator to join our team in Tuscola, IL. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient application of pesticides, fertilizers, and other crop inputs for our clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal crop protection and productivity while adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate custom application equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, and other machinery, to apply crop protection products, fertilizers, and soil amendments.

• Ensure proper calibration of equipment for accurate application rates and efficiency.

• Monitor weather conditions, field conditions, and application schedules to optimize effectiveness and safety.

• Maintain accurate records of all applications, including chemicals used, acreage treated, and any other relevant information.

• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and meet customer expectations.

• Provide exceptional customer service by offering advice and assistance to growers on proper application practices.

• Adhere to all safety standards and regulatory requirements, including wearing and maintaining proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in agriculture, machinery operation, or related fields is a plus.

• Valid Commercial Applicator License (or willingness to obtain).

• Class A or B CDL (or ability to obtain) preferred.

• Previous experience as a Custom Applicator or in a related agricultural role is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and application techniques.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
