Little Oaks Academy Hiring: Assistant Preschool Teacher

About the Role:

We’re seeking a creative, caring, and energetic Preschool Teacher who thrives in a lively environment filled with discovery and joy. At Little Oaks Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole child—emotionally, socially, and academically—and we need someone who shares that vision. This position is a full-time position, 7 am - 4 pm. We would consider a morning-only (7:00 am - 1:00 pm) position for the right hire.

Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Lead engaging, play-based activities that spark imagination and build foundational skills.
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and safe environment where every child feels seen and valued.
• Collaborate with a fantastic team of educators to create a dynamic, fun, and effective curriculum.
• Communicate regularly with families to celebrate milestones and keep them informed.
• Bring patience, humor, and flexibility to each day (because, let’s face it, kids keep us on our toes!).

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• A genuine love for working with preschoolers.
• Experience in early childhood education (or equivalent experience that makes you awesome with little ones).
• A knack for creativity and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education is a plus, but not a dealbreaker—we value your passion and experience just as much!

About Us

Little Oaks Academy (LOA) is a daycare facility licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services (“DHS”). The purpose of our early childhood education and development program is to promote the development of the total child – physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially, using age-appropriate activities under the guidance of professional, loving, and caring teachers. As a non-profit, LOA operates under a Board of Directors (the Board). The Board is charged with defining the mission, vision, and values of LOA’s early childhood education and development program.
