Job Description

Those in penetration testing at PwC will focus on penetration testing (or pen testing) which is a security exercise where a cybersecurity consultant attempts to find and exploit vulnerabilities in a computer system. The purpose of this simulated attack is to identify any weak spots in a system's defences which attackers could take advantage of.

The Opportunity

As part of the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Forensics team you are expected to perform analyzes related to forensic investigations, cybercrimes, and cyberattacks. As an Associate you are expected to focus on learning and contributing to client engagement and projects while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You are expected to be exposed to clients to learn how to build meaningful client connections, manage and inspire others, and grow your personal brand by developing your technical knowledge of firm services and technology resources.   • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 year of experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), Cyber Threat Analyst (CCTA)
  • Interfacing with industry peers and law enforcement organizations
  • Tracking advanced adversarial threat actors
  • Authoring threat intelligence advisories and reports
  • Performing code and behavioral analysis on malware samples
  • Mapping adversarial threat actor infrastructure
  • Conducting analyzes for evidence of network penetrations
  • Utilizing scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby, shell, C, C++, and/or Java

The salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $118,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
