Business Development Modeler (Spreadsheets) Location Arlington, VA : Job role: Capitol Bridge LLC is looking for a Business Development Spreadsheet Modeler (Excel expert!) to work closely with our Senior Director of Business Development. Your role will be to solve problems using logic, math and software. You will enjoy this role if: You love Excel-you consider yourself the top 5% of all Microsoft Excel users! With your love of Excel, you will develop spreadsheets and the logic and thought process that goes with managing spreadsheet(s). You enjoy the "hunt" and want to be part of the inner workings of Capitol Bridge by identifying, negotiating, and executing partnering, merging, and acquiring and/or other types of activities associated with the growth of our group of firms. (Yes, you will be part of the THAT team). You want to continue to expand your leadership experiences and hone your skills as a comprehensive Investment Banking/ Finance professional in the areas of executing buy-side M&A strategies and identifying cost-effective financing alternatives and sources. With that love of Excel, you will: Facilitate design sessions with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to define data requirements and resolve requirements issues. Elicit and transform business and/or user requirements to logical data requirements needed to create data models. Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL to support project. Create presentations using MS PowerPoint to communicate the data model to non-technical and non-data audiences. Incorporate metadata into the data model and export for data consumers to better understand the data model. Successful candidates will have: Location Must be located in (or around) Arlington, VA; presence in the office is required at least a few times each week. Work during Eastern business hours. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, engineering, or related field desired, but not absolutely required. Data Skills: Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of the data lifecycle Core Consulting Skills: Demonstrate a depth of analysis and critical thinking Team player with an energetic attitude Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team Demonstrates flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks Strong written and oral communication skills Experience with project and program management best practices Pay: $35.00 per hour for well-qualified candidates. Part-time (1099 status) or full-time (W2) will be considered.
