**Job Title: Assistant Chief Inspector**
**Job Description**
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Chief Inspector is to coordinate, accomplish, and execute all inspection and quality functions both on and off aircraft. This role requires familiarity with maintenance, preventative maintenance, alteration, and inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools to ensure work is performed properly and the airworthiness of the article and aircraft type.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure regulatory compliance by checking work accomplished away from the repair station's fixed location and reporting findings to the Chief Inspector.
+ Assist in maintaining current knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations, Advisory Circulars, Specifications, Type Certificate Data sheets, Technical Data, and Airworthiness Directives.
+ Audit and inspect complete records of all inspections and maintenance activities and help develop and maintain audit schedules, results, and corrective actions.
+ Oversee the proper documentation and traceability of aircraft parts, ensuring adherence to FAA and industry requirements.
+ Assist with filing reports on serious failures, malfunctions, or defects and determine whether incidents should be reported to the FAA.
+ Work in partnership with the training liaison to ensure personnel have appropriate knowledge or training prior to assigning inspection tasks.
+ Participate in weekly Quality and maintenance meetings and maintain close communication with Fleet Managers, DOM, VP of Maintenance, and other leaders.
**Essential Skills**
+ A&P license
+ 10+ years of experience in performing inspection on aircraft
+ Familiarity with job accountabilities listed in the job description
+ Flexibility to adapt to changes in a growing company
+ Commitment to long-term tenure

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves operating across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets, consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. The fleet includes Boeing 737 Fireliners, Hercules C130, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 helicopters, and Bell 412 helicopters, providing rapid response capabilities using aviation assets.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Thermal, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
