Animal Care Technician

Our Ideal Candidate:
● Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment, and be able to manage stressful situations.
● Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.
● Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
● Must be a self-starter and be able to work without constant supervision.
● Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize tasks effectively.
● Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
● Positive attitude and openness to whatever the day brings.
Essential Functions and Duties:
● Maintain the cleanliness of the kennels, hallways, and general areas.
● Escort dogs around the facility and outside for bathroom breaks
● Monitor and record important information about the animals’ conditions, behavior, and habits (elimination, eating, etc.).
● Notify manager or appropriate personnel of unusual medical, behavioral, or eating problems.
● Maintain laundry, dishes and basic sanitation throughout the day and keep the laundry area neat.
● Monitor and maintain the kennel inventory to include cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, etc.
● Completing other duties as assigned by the Manager or other leadership to ensure optimal care of pets, customer service, and overall operation.
